Men love shoes

They love shoes - good branded, sturdy shoes that they can wear and look good. They calculate and spend time in deciding which shoe would best be paired with which outfit and secretly hope to own a lot of them.
While women have always criticized men for being scarce when it comes to clothes and assumed how they can survive in the same clothes for days I sincerely doubt the same applies to shoes for them. Very much like us they like to have variety and know what to wear, when!

So am I and well 99% of the entire population. The only things missing now are the money and time to do that. They say now is the best time to do anything; I say yes it is if you have the resources. No I am not a pessimist; I am more of a realist.
Can you walk to the Caribbean? Or hitch a ride? Well no. Haven’t you heard of that super old and often used saying - If travelling was free you’d never see me again. But it isn’t, so here I am boring the shit out of you.
I would like to think there are places where I could travel to if I wanted with limited resources, so I coined a list of those places. Now go explore!
1) Bulgaria
It’s a beautiful place with a lot of places to explore. The capital Sofia offers a lot of good things if you are travelling there including great food and cheap accommodation. It is one of the cheapest countries to stay in, if you’re in Europe.
2) Cambodia
Cambodia is a south-east Asian nation it’s a very culturally rich nation. There are a lot of beautiful temples to visit once you are there. Accommodation is cheap, you can find dorm rooms for as cheap as $3 and private hotel rooms for upto $10 here and so is the food.
There are hordes of places to visit here including Angkor Wat – a famous ancient temple complex.
3) Marrakech, Morocco
The city is famous for its famous jewellery and pottery. The air fare too is not much and a lot of low cost flights fly there. You can visit Medina and the famous Koutoubia mosque, the flea markets in the city are also amazing. The food is delicious and you can try a range of new cuisines while you’re there.
4) Crete, Greece
While sipping Mykonos in Santorini may have been your lifelong dream, Crete is the cheaper alternative. It’s a beautiful place and very different from all the other places in Greece, the locals here are warm and forthcomings and Crete is well known for its crystal clear beaches. If you still want to go to Santorini, it’s a 45 minute ferry ride from Crete and totally worth a visit.
5) Peru
It’s a beautiful country in South America with mostly Hispanic natives. Peru has a rich heritage, it is the city where the glorious Machu Picchu is located. Explore that a lot of other ruins and the Peruvian cuisine is terrific. The country will surprise you. The best time to visit Peru is during winters (May to September).
Now all you need is a backpack and a pair of comfortable shoes and off you goes!

How This New Feature Is Impacting the E-Commerce World?
While I was going through the various features that our website offers, I found the ‘Call to order’ feature. I proceeded to enquire about it and well I was intrigued to say the least with what I found out!
More than 60% of our population does not have access to the internet. Didn’t expect the percentage to be that high? Well neither did I. But there are plenty of people out there who don’t have the basic resources and necessities.
Metropolitan cities are flourishing and over flowing with people and opportunities, but there are so many who are still unaware and uneducated about plenty of things. Online shopping being one of the foremost and prominent things.
While this has made shopping for anything and the availability of items difficult to locate so much easier for us, this revolution hasn’t touched people who have no way of knowing or obtaining internet. The market has been taken by storm by this trend which is accelerating and shows no sign of slowing down but most of the e-commerce companies are busy pleasing 35-40% of the population.
Amidst all this Digishoppers introduced the ‘Call to order’ feature, this feature would allow people from all over the country irrespective of whether or not they have internet or not to be able to place an order for any item over the phone, which will then be delivered to that person. But the question arises how do people with no internet access order for things they don’t even know exist?
For this they print out pamphlets and brochures containining a detailed list of products that they have and have them distributed in the remotest of remote places. Making sure people receive them and understand them. This then makes it for a commoner to place an order easily.
My grandmother belongs to a small village located in Varanasi . She is old and the nearest shops are 12-15kms away, which makes shopping a tedious task for her. It’s not like she cannot live in the city, she just prefers the pollution free and not-so-chaotic environment of the village. When I told her about online shopping becoming a rage she was very happy to hear about it since she thought she would now be able to procure items easily, but with no internet access and no computers available it seems like an impossible task.
For people like her this feature may end up doing wonders.
Well it’s a start. We have to start somewhere… but this definitely seems like a step in the right direction.
